Away Time
There is a great benefit in groups that work together spending time as a team off-site and away from the normal day to day pressures. Choosing the right environment for your time away together will help build a team spirit which enables the business to flourish.
Companies can use the facilities at Penrhos and organise their own time away. Alternatively, we have facilitators and trainers who can work with your to achieve your goals.
Kitchen Time
However you organise your away time at Penrhos, it is possible for you to integrate into your programme cooking in the kitchen with Daphne Lambert, who has been a chef, nutritionist and teacher for over 20 years. This is inspirational. It's time that really focuses on getting to understand and know each other. It's a process that encourages creativity. Short sessions in the kitchen preparing food enable a team to build on individual strengths and provide delicious food.
Dinner Time
One of the highlights of staying at Penrhos is the seasonal, organic dinner around a large table in the medieval Cruck hall. Sharing food can do a lot to encourage understanding, friendship and affection. This is very effectively conveyed in the wonderful film Babette's Feast, where members of a village community who despise one another become friends as they eat and drink at an elaborate dinner. The dinner renews friendship, restores love and revives harmony in the community. If you have spent some time in the kitchen during the day then most of the meal will have been created by you.
